Wisconsin's "prime pine timberland" and Cornell University share an important historic connection. Join Dr. Jon Parmenter for a presentation at Chippewa Valley Museum, and discover Eau Claire, Wisconsin's place in Cornell University's rise to being one of the United State's wealthiest universities at the turn of the 20th century.

About Jon Parmenter: Dr. Jon Parmenter is an Associate Professor of History at Cornell University where he teachers courses on early American and Native American history.  He is currently completing a book entitled Dispossessed: Cornell University’s Origins in Indian Country.
